It’s been a while since I talked about the fundamentals of nullification. I hit all the high points in this interview, from the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798 to Madison’s Federalist #46 to the anti-commandeering doctrine. I also cover constitutional originalism and talk about how far the United States has drifted from its constitutional roots.

Along the way, I hammer on the foolishness of buying into the Republican vs. Democrat paradigm and urge people to remember that any power that you give the government when your “team” is in power will eventually be in the hands of the other team. The people in Washington D.C. aren’t the biggest problem. The very existence of D.C. as a center of power is the problem.
