PEP Journey

“We should be consciously preparing the next
generation for the new battles it will face.”

Francis Schaeffer

If you are not 100% sure what next year is going to look like for your teenager’s education, the Word of God gives us a light to our path.

The diagram describing the journey a student takes through PEP starts with a bow and arrow and ends with a shining city. Hopefully, the image brings to your mind Psalm 127:4, “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.”

Ambassadors are trained to speak, often with their enemies, in society, the city gates. As a Christian parent, you want to help your child choose the target that the Lord Himself has set before us all as Christ’s ambassadors and not succumb to the temptation of setting the lesser worldly aims, which would be a shame for one who bears the name of Christ.

The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.
—Michelangelo

Each year, a student begins his/her studies in PEP with this goal in mind: to become a Kingdom builder. At PEP, our purpose, our passion, is to help you send forth a Kingdom-seeking, Bible-reasoning, Liberty-advancing generation (Matt. 6:33; Acts 26:25; Luke 4:18; Luke 10:27).

Jesus assigned this end focus as the only way to order our lives for genuine personal success and God’s glory. Matthew 6:31-33 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek [higher education, career]. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” If we summon up the faith to set as our main goal, our first thing, to seek after putting all things within us and around us under Christ’s rule, in right relationship to Him, everything else that we need gets thrown in. What a promise! Steadfast PEP Core graduates have joyfully experienced God’s faithfulness beyond their expectations.

The PEP Core courses are uniquely designed with the end in sight: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove [figure out, discern]what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Rom. 12:2).

With each year, your child sees the impact of a Biblical worldview juxtaposed against worldly philosophies throughout the ages, so students can discern the difference when they encounter false ideas throughout life and know how to confront them persuasively. The longer a student remains studying the PEP Core, the more they increase in knowledge, reasoning skills, and communication competence, and the more they are equipped in mind and heart  for maximum impact upon society, which is the ultimate Vocation of every Christian.
