Amazon’s facial-recognition technology is supercharging local police. On previous episodes of this show, we reported that Amazon has been pushing local and federal agencies to use its surveillance technology. Now, we get a bit of an inside look at how the tech is being used on a daily basis in the Washington County Sheriff’s Dept. in Oregon. Plus efforts in two cities to ban the use of facial recognition are moving forward.
