Liberty Lesson – Exploring The Pursuit of Happiness – Dayton, OH 02/12/26

BBFL is excited to introduce the next phase in your U.S. Constitutional education: Liberty Lessons.

This Liberty Lesson is available at no cost to you.

After participating in our U.S. Constitution Boot Camps, you may seek further insights from our Founding Fathers. BBFL has crafted lessons that delve deeper into subjects related to the U.S. Constitution and the ways in which we have diverged from our Founding Fathers’ vision. Our topics are timely and pertinent to the daily transgressions we witness. This session will review:

Living Out The Pursuit of Happiness

Amazingly, despite the decline in patriotism in America, many can still recite the key phrase describing our unalienable God given Rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.  Our right to life if clear given the commandment, but the definition of liberty is less clear.  And many today describe the pursuit of happiness as ‘doing whatever one is passionate about’.  What exactly did the founders intend when they cited our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

In this Liberty Lesson, Mark Burrell unpacks the full meaning behind this phrase and the connection to the Freedom Americans enjoy when in fact these rights are protected.  The answer reveals a much more profound concept associated with these rights.   This perspective provides critical context as we seek to live in peace with our neighbor as intended with our national founding covenant, the Declaration of Independence.

Join us in Dayton, OH to explore this topic. Our Host is Concerned Veterans for America.
